Kash Money is a Kenyan drama series currently streaming on Netflix. The show centers around a powerful family dynasty but not a family show, I repeat not a family show. It features a star-studded cast, including acclaimed actors such as John Sibi-Okumu, Sanaipei Tande, Amara Tari, Lenana Kariba, Maqbul Mohamed, Janet Mbugua, Morris Mwangi, Dedan Juma, Joey Muthengi, Oliver Litondo, Shiv Singh, Ronnie Kariuki, and Anastaciah Liz Wamoro.

Viewers have had mixed reactions to the series. Some have praised its entertainment value. One viewer noted, “Watched all six episodes. Honest review, the first three episodes were all over the place, the last three had me hooked.”

However, some critics have pointed out areas where the series could improve. A review from another viewer mentioned that Kash Money “lacks dimension and complexity,” suggesting that while the show has potential, it may fall short in character development and plot depth.

Overall, Kash Money offers a glimpse into Kenyan storytelling with a mix of drama and intrigue. While it has its strengths, there are areas where it could benefit from further development. If you’re interested in exploring Kenyan cinema, it might be worth a watch.

Based on audience feedback and critic reviews, Kash Money is an ambitious attempt at bringing Kenyan storytelling to Netflix, but it has received mixed reactions.

Pros

✅ Star-studded cast – Featuring well-known Kenyan actors who bring experience and charisma to the show. A monotonous trend in Kenya film industry, we need new faces.

✅ Visually appealing – Good cinematography and production quality. The BDSM scene was it for me!

✅ Engaging drama – The last few episodes reportedly hook viewers, keeping them invested.

Cons

❌ Pacing issues – The first few episodes feel scattered, making it difficult to get into the story.

❌ Character depth – Where was the introduction to these characters some before they were killed off? Some characters and storylines lack development, making them less compelling.

❌ Plot execution – While the premise is strong, critics feel it doesn’t fully deliver on its potential.

Final Verdict

If you enjoy African drama and want to support Kenyan cinema, Kash Money is worth checking out. However, if you’re looking for a well-executed, tightly written story, you may find some elements lacking.
