GOLD GLENFIDDICH 21-YEAR-OLD HITS THE KENYAN MARKET



Struan Grant Ralph, The Global Brand Ambassador for the World’s Most Awarded single malt Scotch whisky, Glenfiddich, officially unveiled the exquisite expression that is the Glenfiddich 21 Year Old to the Kenyan market on the 13th December 2018, Nairobi, Kenya.


His second visit was aimed at showcasing the award-winning expression, delighting whisky enthusiasts as well as engaging with the bartending community. His visit commenced with a master class and deconstruction tasting for a selection of Nairobi’s elite bartenders and mixologists. However Struan’s main focus of his visit was to host a Glenfiddich tasting experience at The Capital Club for a selection of single malt enthusiasts and lovers; guests were taken on a tasting journey through the different expressions of Glenfiddich, leading to a decadently themed Glenfiddich 21 year’s immersion and a high-energy evening where guests were immersed in a spectacular brand experience at the Trademark Hotel, Village market.


The unveiling came at an opportune time since imported spirits are enjoying double-digit growth rates. According to the International Wines and Spirits Reports 2016-2017, whisky is Kenya’s hottest alcohol category. Scotch growth is at 26%, with Glenfiddich at the helm. Single Malt Scotch whisky also doubled its volumes as it garnered a reputation as the astute whisky drinker’s choice.


Struan noted: ‘The Kenyan market is rapidly becoming a focus market for us at Glenfiddich, we feel confident a Single Malt like Glenfiddich 21 years will continue to excite our consumers as we continue to bring the World’s Most Awarded whisky to this great country.’

It has an intensely sweet aroma that is fruity vanilla and floral with hints of banana, figs, rich toffee, new leather and it leaves your mouth with a warm, soft, brisk, vibrant and drying spicy tastes.


The guests at the Trademark Hotel were completely taken away with the Scottish reputable brand-Glenfiddich 21 years and Struan charming personality as the lovely evening sped away sipping to the Scottish spirits raised in Scotland and roused by the Caribbean.
